**Commission Eligible Position**

POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for managing the end-to-end brokerage of bulk liquid and dry freight across North America, Mexico and Canada. This role focuses on providing superior service to shippers, coordinating shipments, sourcing qualified carriers and maintaining regulatory compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate load execution from tender to delivery, including scheduling, tracking, and issue resolution.
• Source and manage qualified bulk tanker carriers (liquid and dry), ensuring all meet safety, insurance, and compliance requirements.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to optimize cost and margin while maintaining service levels.
• Act as a liaison between shippers, receivers, and carriers to ensure clear communication and high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product compatibility, washout requirements, and equipment types (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum, food-grade, pneumatic, etc.).
• Use internal systems and TMS software to enter load data, update status, and document communication.
• Monitor market trends in the bulk sector to proactively identify opportunities and mitigate capacity constraints.
• Maintain carrier profiles, performance metrics, and compliance documentation (e.g., insurance, FMCSA, TWIC, hazmat certifications).
• Educate internal teams (sales, customer service) on tanker-specific requirements and best practices.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

KEY KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent. College degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in freight brokerage or logistics, with a strong focus on bulk tanker freight
• Working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, hazmat, and food-grade transport regulations
• Hazmat safety awareness training; TWIC card knowledge or port experience a plus
• Experience working with TMS platforms and load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop, ITS)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required
